Human rights and equality for all

Hackney’s green spaces are precious and I recognise how important our parks, marshes and rivers are for our wellbeing and recreation.
Green spaces help the climate. Bio matter absorbs carbon. Trees, plants and animals thrive in green spaces, helping to cool the city in increasingly hot weather. Over the pandemic, many residents realised how vital our local green spaces are for our physical and mental wellbeing. Green spaces connect communities. They are a vital resource for communal activities including community food growing.
As councillors, Alastair Binnie-Lubbock and I have:
I commit to:
Human rights and equality for all
We are at crisis point. My plan to take action.
Everyone deserves a safe, secure and affordable home
Giving residents more power over their lives, homes and communities.
Every resident has the right to fair and just policing
A future for every child and young person
Cleaner air and safe, healthy streets for every resident
A mission to build community wealth.
Green spaces benefit people and our planet
Rethinking our use of resources
